Newly Inducted Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach, Coach Jimmy Johnson, is making his way up north for Summer 2024 to extend his world class fishing tournament from South Florida to Atlantic City, NJ. Annually, Jimmy Johnson's "Quest for the Ring" Championship Fishing Week, Florida (JJFISHWEEKFL) is hosted in March at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Guitar Hotel with fishing happening across South Florida featuring renowned parties, a guaranteed $1 Million purse, and entry into Coach Johnson's famed Ring of Honor, where an annual coveted championship ring is at stake. Coach Johnson has teamed up with the Atlantic City Sports Commission to add on to the series and bring this high stakes and overly entertaining competitive sportfishing experience to Atlantic City, July 14-20, 2024, hosted at the Frank S. Farley State Marina at the Golden Nugget.

As Coach Johnson always says, "COME & GET IT!” Jimmy Johnson's Atlantic City ‘Quest for the Ring' Championship Fishing Week (JJFISHWEEKAC) will celebrate the magic of Atlantic City as a destination tournament and will feature extreme competition and celebratory parties each night of the week for the teams and their guests and families. When making your plans for next summer, think about all the fun guests JJFISHWEEKAC will have. The July 14-20, 2024 week will include a kick-off party at the Golden Nugget Rooftop on Sunday, a secondary registration day on Monday for those who can’t make it Sunday, a choice of pick 3 out of 5 days of leave it out on the waters tournament competition, Daily Dockside Parties at the JJFishweekAC Hospitality Village at the Golden Nugget Marina, where teams can enjoy a taste of Atlantic City restaurants, drinks, and music, an ultimate gifting experience, where a wagon will be provided to help you roll out all the goods, and a closing party hosted at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that is NOT to be missed!

The prize structure for 2024 has been updated to allow for teams to fish for their species and not lock into categories they are not interested in. There is MORE Calcuttas and optional categories that fit your request to fish, so YOU can have MORE FUN and fish FOR MORE in 2024!

Jimmy Johnson's Atlantic City ‘Quest for the Ring' Championship Fishing Week is brought to you in partnership with Meet AC and the Atlantic City Sports Commission, hosted by Contender Boats, and powered by Yamaha Outboards.

Base Entry will start at $5,000 and be paid out only to early entry teams that participate in the October 1st special. Additional optional entries will include a variety of Calcuttas for White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin, High Points, Small Boat, Non-Sonar Division, and more. There are daily payouts and overall payouts pending on categories.

Limited to the first 20 boats at this time. First come, first serve to register. All events will take place in Atlantic City, but teams will be able to fish from Norfolk to Hudson and weigh in in Atlantic City or pre-register to be one of the limited teams to be able to weigh in in Ocean City, MD.

PLUS: ALL NEW INLET CALCUTTAS added for 2024.

The winner of the coveted Championship Rings will be the team who brings home the largest amount of the purse across all categories.

Additional hosting sponsors for the tournament include Golden Nugget, Garmin Marine, Oakley Eyewear, Seakeeper, Chevrolet, High Noon, and Dennis Friel and Connected by Water, the official tournament artist. Across the board entry for big boats without a sonar is $45,000 and early entry discounts and accommodation credits will start October 1st annually, with limited number of entries based on each tier of discount. Hotel and slip accommodations for the tournament will be available across Atlantic City at participating casinos and the marina. The team at Fish Hard Events, the management team behind JJFISHWEEK, will be available in the tournament office to assist with booking.

Tournament Scoring

JJFISHWEEKAC is scored by a point system. All team and individual prize categories will be awarded based on the individual or team's overall point standings and the championship rings will be awarded based on the team who wins the most amount of money. In the event of a tie, winners will be determined by the team or individual will be based on time.

Final Updated Rules will be provided at tournament kick off.
