Newly Inducted Pro Football Hall of Fame Coach, Coach Jimmy Johnson, is making his way up north for Summer 2026 to extend his world class fishing tournament from South Florida to Atlantic City, NJ for the 5th annual event, with weigh stations available in both ATLANTIC CITY, NJ at Farley State Marina at the Golden Nugget & OCEAN CITY, MD at Sunset Marina. Annually, Jimmy Johnson's "Quest for the Ring" Championship Fishing Week, Florida (JJFISHWEEKFL) is hosted in March at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's Guitar Hotel with fishing happening across South Florida featuring renowned parties, a guaranteed $1 Million purse, and entry into Coach Johnson's famed Ring of Honor, where an annual coveted championship ring is at stake. Coach Johnson has teamed up with the Atlantic City Sports Commission to add on to the series and bring this high stakes and overly entertaining competitive sportfishing experience to Atlantic City, July 12-18th, 2026, hosted at the Frank S. Farley State Marina at the Golden Nugget.

As Coach Johnson always says, "COME & GET IT!” Jimmy Johnson's Atlantic City ‘Quest for the Ring' Championship Fishing Week (JJFISHWEEKAC) will celebrate the magic of Atlantic City as a destination tournament and will feature extreme competition and celebratory parties each night of the week for the teams and their guests and families. When making your plans for next summer, think about all the fun guests at JJFISHWEEKAC will have, PLUS added fun during the week as we expand to two weigh stations for teams going out of Ocean City, MD.
In Atlantic City, the week will include a kick-off party at the Golden Nugget Ballroom on Sunday, a secondary registration day on Monday for those who can’t make it Sunday, a choice of pick 3 out of 5 days of leave it out on the waters tournament competition, Daily Dockside Parties at the JJFishweekAC Hospitality Suite inside the Golden Nugget Ballroom, where teams can enjoy a taste of Atlantic City restaurants, drinks, and music, an ultimate gifting experience, where a wagon will be provided to help you roll out all the goods, and a closing party hosted at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that is NOT to be missed!
2026 will continue as: 2 WEIGH STATIONS will once again be available at ATLANTIC CITY & SUNSET MARINA in OCEAN CITY, MD.
All events will take place in Atlantic City, but teams will be able to fish from Norfolk to Hudson and weigh in in Atlantic City or Ocean City, MD. UPDATED based on popular request: Teams will be able to fish and weigh in at EITHER weigh station! All events will continue to take place in Atlantic City, NJ, with some added daily hospitality for in Ocean City, MD, but for convenience teams will be able to weigh in at either weigh station.
Boundaries: The boundary is set at 145NM from the head pin at Atlantic City, NJ. All boats must fish within this limit, even boats fishing out of Ocean City, MD.
A boat may exit the boundaries when fighting a fish. Turn on your GPS tracking if you are fighting a fish and are close to leaving the boundaries. You must video your GPS showing your coordinates and the angler fighting the fish. We need indisputable proof that you hooked the fish inside the boundaries. You may not go back to fishing until you are back inside the boundaries.

All team and individual prize categories will be awarded based on the individual or team's overall point standings and the championship rings will be awarded based on the team who wins the most amount of money. In the event of a tie, winners will be determined by the team or individual will be based on time.
